Michael + Gen
Hey guys! Guess what! Theres a new dating app - have you heard!? Yep - its called flatmates.com ;-) Well... for these two lovebirds - it was matchingmakinx heaven. Our groom, Michael, had a room advertised on this inauspicious website, when the lovely Gen [his now wife] entered the scene - fresh to Brisbane. By the time the pair actually met, Michael. had already given the room to a prospective roommate, but [from memory] this didn't last very long. Michael being the knight in shining armour, thought he would show Gen around Brisbane. And thus this love-story begins! Michael and Gen held their wedding at the wonderful Sirromet. Initially when I met with them, they were aiming at a really small dinner for around 15 people in a boardroom style area of Sirromet. However by the time the wedding day actually came, there was almost double the number of guests, and the party was moved to my fav - the barrel room. The couple were married by the best, Jake, and the ceremony was held at the Laguna. Both bride and groom looked amazing, and the ceremony was somewhat emotional. Throughout the day, all of the Sirromet staff, upon any interaction with them, commented on how amazing the barrel room looked... and they were NOT wrong. Being a small affair, one big banquet table was still the setup, but Julie Vine had styled the area to perfection, with two high settings of roses and autumn coloured florals, and the most GORGEOUS setup of tulips and candles down the centre of the tables. I love how this feature created glamour, and beauty, but still left the opportunity for people to chat across the table. Beautiful speeches filled the night, along with an 8 [or 9] course degustation [it looked YUMMM]!
Michael and Gen, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your love story tale! I feel so honoured to have been at such an intimate occasion, and it was a privilege to meet your family [especially J-Lo!]. May you always have family filled tables, and glowing tulips at dinner [WOW!]. Always your fan! Muchos love! xx
